Somewhere Over the Rainbow

一直很喜歡這首歌的旋律，帶點懷舊感的節奏，漫著淡淡的憂傷。

"Somewhere Over the Rainbow"是1939年，電影版綠野仙蹤 (The Wizard of OZ) 的插曲，也是20世紀百大名曲票選第一名。飾演Dorothy的Judy Garland因為小狗Toto的緣故，被忙於農事的嬸嬸責罵，更要她找個不會惹麻煩的地方待著，Dorathy傷心之餘唱了這首極具美國象徵意義的歌曲。

雖然 Judy Garland 事業上獲獎無數，但卻一生都為經濟所苦，五次婚姻有四次都以離婚收場，而她鄰家女孩的樣貌也讓她非常沒有自信，並且長期耽溺於藥物與酒精的漩渦中。因為她在人生與事業上奮鬥不懈，Judy Garland 被視為同性戀界的貓王 (Elvis of homosexuals)，彷彿成為 Gay Icon，她的過世還一度被認為是引發紐約的石牆暴動 (Stonewall riots) 的原因。

Judy Garland 也曾客串參加 Fanny Brice 的廣播劇"The Baby Snooks Show"演出。Fanny Brice是美國20、30年代的知名諧星，因其誇張的表演方式，被譽為America's Funny Girl。她以40歲的高齡，出演機車的 Baby Snooks角色，演出十分搞笑。
